"If you, or the person you are buying for, likes classical music but doesn't enjoy listening to overblown opera divas with too much vibrato, this is the CD to get. If you like early music but don't like weird gender-bending countertenors, or pomp and ceremony to flatter a long-dead monarch, or preachy church music, then this is the CD for you. A typically 1980s recording, very pared-back and focusing on beautiful simplicity, this is the perfect CD if you want to unwind or are just getting into early music. Love it!"
