"If you have a weak stomach or heart condition; you have been warned not to listen to this CD. Pulp Fusion dug deep into the crates to find some of these funk classics. The funk on this CD is nastier than a hood rats bed sheets. The funk is 100% uncut raw with no commercial interuptions. If you're looking for comercial music like Will Smith, Puff Daddy and the majority of artists these days, then do not waste your money on this type of music. This CD is about original old school funk with nasty breaks that will leave a frown on your face for days. I'm frowning now and I've had this CD over a week."
Warning--Might Overload Your Stereo With Funk

"Let me make this as clear as possible: if you're a fan of 70's funk and soul, YOU NEED THIS ALBUM. It is, in a word, mind-blowing--one of the best funk albums I've ever bought. One pleasant surprise was the presence of jazz in many of the tracks. Great party music that's guaranteed to take you back to a funkier time. I was really impressed with the depth of the album--it's clear that the producers screened tons of 70's funk and soul and put only the best on this disc."
Funksters Feast

"Another outstanding array of funky tracks with loads of groove from the producers of Pulp Fusion. The songs on this album vary greatly within the funk style, but the bottom line is they are all brilliant classics in their own right. With the catchy, jiggy "Gangster Boogie" to the soulful, grindy "Your Mama Wants You Back" and the rhyming, clever lyrics of "Cloudburst"; this album has it all. I cant agree more with my fellow reviewers, that this album is what funk music in the 70's is all about.I cant praise this and the other Pulp Fusion albums enough. When it comes to compiling the best of 70's funk and groove, their (the Producers) fingers are still on that 30 year old pulse.A must buy if you are a fan of funk, soul and jazz or if you are interested in really good, original music!! You WONT regret it!"
Volume 4: Fully Loaded

"Volume 4 of the Pulp Fusion series seems a bit more jazz-oriented, after the Blacksploitation-ish volume 3. If you're more into jazz than funk, then that's a good thing, but personally I enjoyed the third volume more. Fully Loaded is more along the lines of grinding, open ended funky jazz jams, with a few stone cold classics thrown in for good meausure. My favorite tracks: the Chicago Gangsters get wild on "Gangster Boogie," which LL Cool J later sampled for "Mama Said Knock You Out;" Betty Davis shouts over the hard-hitting bass and drums of "Your Mama Wants You Back;" the Nite-Liters tear out my favorite track on here, "Afro Strut," which sounds as Blacksploitation as the material on volume 3; Dennis Coffey plays guitar on the fantastic Edwin Starr track "Easin' In;" and Exit 9 do a Prince-sounding song (about ten years before Prince was even on the scene) on "Miss Funky Fox." Some consider this installment to be the best of the Pulp Fusion series, so of course it's an essential purchase. If you get one Pulp Fusion, you might as well get them all!"
