The tenor aria "Nessun dorma" made the pop charts a few years ago! This is a live performance recorded in Milan in 1964. Digitally remastered from the original excellent monophonic recording. The booklet includes a special essay, historical photos and a complete libretto! Soprano Birgit Nilsson and tenor Franco Corelli are the all-time most famous duo in the lead roles of this opera, singing at La Scala, Milan in the 1960s. They are available on a more expensive studio recording on another label, but most opera fans will tell you this live performance is even better!
