CD ReviewsA Must Have! 03/17/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "If you love opera, this is a must have CD.It is a cross between European Football and Puccini. And I mean that in a good way.Callas is at her most Callas-y and the Di Stephano is tremendous. But the alure of this CD is the sheer love of opera exuded by the audience and the performers. It's worth the money just for the old-school notion that it is acceptable to repeat an aria if the audience cheers loud enough.The only downside to this recording is that the performance was 60% theatre and 40% music. At the end, I was longing to have seen it in person."
