Psychonavigation 2 - Namlook/Laswell

"This is probably the deepest, darkest ambient I've heard. The album continues the theme from Psychonaviagtion 1 of 'psychic communication with deep space entities', but the opening track ('Under Heaven') lulls you into a false sense of security with its blissful, beatfree floatiness. Then we're into dark territory. The rest of the album has a incredible atmosphere - pensive, desolate, sometimes terrifying. Melodies are minimal - there's a lot of bassy fx whirling around, and track 3 ('The Fate of Energy') is the only track with beats, which suddenly kick in with Laswells weird bass. A staggering feat."

"Terrific. Very different from the first one. There are 5 tracks ranging from sparkling synth trills (Track 1 - Under Heaven.) to wonderful drone, sample, and burbling bass (Track 3 - The Fate of Energy, and Track 4 - The Hell of The Same). The Cd closes with the Harry Partch/Tom Recchion feeling Infinum, a short piece but very interesting. Great stuff..."
