"Under a new label; KOCH Records and Pat is sounding better than ever. I've been really hyped for two albums coming out the past week and a half--this and Lord Infamous' The Man, The Myth, The Legacy (which is hotter than you'd ever believe). Lord and II Tone have a lot of potential with Black Rain Ent. Nothing but respect to Lord--even w/o the `Six at the moment. I'm really hopin for a collabo'. Leaving Sony is the best thing to happen to Project Pat--but as always still under Hypnotize Minds and the Supa Producers, Paul and Juicy.
Simply put--this is the sequel to Crook by da Book that us hardcore Three-6/Porject Pat fans were looking for. It's only been a year since that came out, and this is simply the best since Mista Don't Play. I know Crook by da Book was a lil under-par, but Pat outdid himself this time. Anyone doubting--DL it and see--you'll have to buy it. From the Intro to the Outro this thing is bumpin; no problem giving this one a full FIVE STARS.
Tightest Tracks:
-Don't Call Me No Mo; #1 Single--the next generation 'Chickenhead'.
-Rubberband Me; Flagship for da album--a Bankroll, nice beat tite flows.
-Talking Smart; Pimp C and Pat is a nice Duo; and a goode beat too
-Hit It; that next generation 'Run a Train'.
-Finna Start Robbin'; old Skool Pat "Ski-mask on da face" type rhymin', the hook is what's up
-Bull Frog Yay; just listen to it--dis dat funny Ghetty Green type s...
Outro--Last 2 Walk, comin in Dec., New Chrome, Lil Wyte, and a Frayser Boy(s'posed 2 be called "The Key").
HCP Still doing thangz, and stay tuned for dat CHOICES 3: THE RETURN OF BIG PAT (tentatively titled)...

Project Pat - Walkin'Bank Roll

"Project Pat (A.K.A. Patrick Stephen Houston) released his sixth solo album with "Walkin' Bank Roll" (2007). The Memphis rapper, and older brother of Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia, provides a seventeen track release (including skits) which features guest appearances from Three Six Mafia, Pimp C (R.I.P.) & Will Wesson. Found this to be a hit or miss album, with a lot of misses. The first standout cut for me is the second single "Rubberand Me" a simple track that bumps well, Project Pat rhymes about the usual stuff having money, and what money buys backed by his own on point chorus. This is one of those track's which is catchy and blasts in the ride. The one collaboration with Three 6 Mafia is "Don't Call Me No Moe" a wack track which sounds like something from the early nineties when Rap artists were big on male-female choruses - simply hurting. "Talkn Smart" features some laidback production, and a guest appearance from the late Pimp C, while the repetitive "Hate My Swag" has Project Pat rhyming about the haters. Project Pat drops some real thoughts on making it and putting one's faith in god at the beginning of "Motivated" and then proceeds with a banging collaboration with Will Wesson. The next couple of track's fall under skip material for me, below average production & topic matter. "See You Fall" is another banger, on a track about grinding and hustling with more emphasis on the hater concept. Getting blazed "Good Weed" follows, the album's closer is the semi-decent "Ready For Whateva". "Walkin' Bank Roll" could haved benefited from some diversified production (to many beats sound the same), better content & quality guest appearances from Three 6 Mafia. A couple of track's like "Rubberband", "Motivated" & "See You Fall" helped this release out some and may be enjoyed by those are looking for something to bump in the ride. 2.5."
