Combining high energy punk with hurtlin' rock'n'roll choruses and epic riffs, Project Mayhem is an entirely listenable and hugely catchy release. It's juxtapositions all round. More hooks than a Japanese long-liner. Punk edge routed in a definite pop sensibility. The lyrics alternate between good-time party anthems, and genuinely thoughtful post-Orwellian dissitation. There's a little something for everybody in this release.
