"A friend of mine loaned me her copy of this album, and I enjoyed it so much, I had to buy my own copy plus copies for family members who also know German and enjoy a capella music.Even if you don't know German, the harmonies will grab you and the cheerful melodies will delight you. And if you are learning German, you will have fun with the lyrics."
Good music for learning German - my kids like it

"Die Prinzen ("The Princes") is a German music group which takes its name from the Brother's Grimm fairy tale, The Frog Prince. (Hence the frogs that appear on so many of their album covers.) The band is made up of former members of the Thomanerchor, a choir of the St. Thomas' Church in Leipzig, Germany, where Johann Sebastian Bach was music director for many years. Their lyrics are "often humorous, tongue-in-cheek critiques of German government or society" (from Wikipedia).
The music is cool - pop, fairly mellow, nice melodies. I have two children who take German in school, and I play German music to reinforce what they're getting there. It's not kids' music per se, but they like it, and I do too. Die Prinzen has many other albums (we really like Schweine), but this one includes many of their hits done a capella style. It's a little easier to pick out words and phrases, and the album is a good intro to Die Prinzen.
