"Strange the way people overlooked this Primal Scream album from 1997. "Vanishing point" is one of the best albums of the 90's in my humble opinion. It's dark, misterious and very innovative. I agree it's not very accessible but it's far more accessible than their new and equally good "Exterminator". The more "friendly" song of this set is obviously "Star", a brilliant choice for single but not quite representative of the album. The opening track "Burning Wheel" is simply a masterpiece, a serious candidate for best Primal Scream song. The only weak moment of this amazing album is "Medication" that sounds like a "Give Out But Don't Give Up" outtake. But it's ok, it just reminds us how mind blowing the other tracks are. Pure listening pleasure, a must have!! If you can, get the remixed version of this album. It's called "Echo Dek" and some tracks get brilliant Dub treatments. See it as a companion piece to "Vanishing Point"."
