"This is not the usual "white boys trying to play the Blues". I've always known Bangham as a pretty serious guitar slinger, having heard and seen him when he was with the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Sugar Ray and the Bluetones. But, in this effort, he not only gives his usual strong guitar performance, but he also wrote most of material on this disk as well as produced it - and the results are excellent. I like this disk because 1) there is some excellent NEW blues material here - Face Down in the Blues, Shoot Me, and I Go Crazy are my favourites, 2) excellent variety for a disk produced by a great blues guitarist - it's not overly dominated by guitar, although Bangham really let's loose on My Turn to Talk, and Kid Stuff and 3) the unique result from the combination of Bangham's strong blues/rock and Justin's strong soul backgrounds. Bangham also seems to have a good sense for pulling together other good musicians, which again adds variety and depth. Very high quality production - I can't stop listening to it. I want more!!"
