Amazon.comThis album is specifically dedicated to the upbeat, joyous hymns of the paschal season. No somber dirges here, this collection of songs is played with an energy meant to translate happiness and movement. The subject matter is Gladness, and the A&R rep in charge of the project really took that to heart, making sure the studio was decked out in Easter themes, and encouraging the sometimes stubborn Prescott Sutherland to come as close as possible to actually translating happiness as was possible. Though sometimes a struggle for the talented yet naturally dour Prescott, the end result speaks for itself, instilling a sense of contentment and comfort to any listener familiar with these traditional hymns. At the end of the sessions for this work, even Prescott himself smiled, remarking " This was hard work, but I am looking forward to working with Maxximus again next year -we should make this a yearly thing..." We couldnt agree more, and are willing to bet that, though he wouldnt let anyone know it, Sutherland cant wait....
