Dana Lee Smith, Mary Hattman, and Edith Casimir are exactly the sort of women who are likely to read the feminist fanzine Bust, probably while driving in the van on tour to support their new album, Slop. With 15 melodic mini-explosions in a mere 31 minutes, Pork is definitely from the old-fashioned faster/louder school of punk, but the trio has a flair for memorable tunes in a league with the Ramones at their best. Imagine if Joey had a daughter-we'll call her Sheena-and she graduated high school in 1994 and started a band.
