CD Reviews

Well, as long as I'm typing . . .

"I left a review for "Urban Prairie", but someone should note the existence of this CD, because if you like bright up-tempo 90's new wave with solid female vocals, you'll like this a lot. A couple of fine songs here, and pretty solid overall, it should have gotten more exposure and sales. Check it out if you get a chance."
Solid Indie Pop

"There was a time when indie pop was the paradise of good music released by labels such as Creation,Mute,Sarah,4AD,Factory,Play It Again Sam,Rough Trade,Dedicated and others like One Little Indian(Sugarcubes and Bjork,The Heart Throbs, Kitchens of Distinction, No-Man, etc)."Flying Down To Mono Valley" was the second the album by the Popinjays on the One Little Indian Label. The great Ian "Lightning Seeds" Broudie produced it and helped the Popinjays have their best album."Too Jung",We love You", "Snowblind", "The Moon Looks Nice From Here" are my favorites , although I also like the other tracks. They are really wonderful, solid and timeless indie pop songs by the lovely girl band the Popinjays. Too bad they did not have the attention they deserved."
