The legendary Pointer Sisters deserved better than this.

"First of all, let me say from the beginning that I am a DIEHARD Pointer Sisters fan. I own every one of their albums, even those they made when they stopped being successful on the charts, and I can find great things to say about each of them.Which makes my disappointment over this CD all the more strange. It's a bad case of misrepresentation and botched work from the record company. They still feature June on the cover, and yet this concert was recorded a year after June was kicked out of the band last year for too many drugs-related problems (she is replaced nowadays by Ruth Pointer's daughter Issa). The mix is also pretty weird - sometimes you can't really hear the musical instruments, especially the keyboards. But the biggest mistake made here comes with the editing - each song begins and ends on a fade, cutting this live album into individual pieces and depriving the listener of the natural flow that needs to come with any live recording. Even worse, sometimes the song begins and the first notes are MISSING !!! The band intro, on which the Pointers don't even appear, is needlessly included. And although Ruth still delivers the goods, Anita's vocals have lost a lot of their magic - she sounds out of breath on "Fairytale" and "Slow hand", and pretty much can't reach many of those warm notes she used to hit.Oddly enough, the DVD captures the excitement of a Pointer Sisters concert much more than the CD does - but then again, it doesn't include the entire concert and the order of the song was inexplicably changed (for instance, the first song of the set comes near the end of the DVD). Anyone interested in a strong P.S. collection would be well advised to go instead for their "Fire - The Very Best of the Pointer Sisters" double CD. A major disappointment, even for diehard fans like myself."
June's On the cover but not in the group!!!

"WHY put an OLE Picture of the group (from the Motown Lp early 1990's) when June is NO Longer with the group??? This is a LIVE Cd/dvd from 2004. June has been long gone. Shame on the record company! ANd fans beware JUNE is NOT on the cd nor in the group, bonnie's daughter Issa took her place a good 2/3 years ago. Now, she is good..but if you wanted the POINTER SISTERS you get 2 sisters and a Neice~"
A must for all Pointer Sisters fans!

"This live concert CD with bonus DVD is amazing. You can feel the energy of the Sisters in their live music - even much more so than in their studio recordings. I've seen them in concert several times over the years and while seeing them live is an amazing experience, this is the next best thing. These ladies love to perform and it definitely comes through.
This will be a favorite for all Pointer Sisters fans and will have you dancing for a long time."
