"These pieces, known to serious students of the violin repertoire, should become familiar to the general listening public. Passionate and romantic in spirit, these works bridge a period from the late nineteenth century through the first quarter of the twentieth. There is excitement, drama, and poetic feeling in each of the compositions on this disc. Most impressive is the dynamic energy of the two performers, who leave no nuance unturned. Informative program notes complete a very attractive CD."

"Performances by both musicians are equally superb. The sound quality of the CD is clear and balanced. Hearing a new version of the Bloch Sonata was illuminating and welcome.
The Zemlinsky was inspired playing, as were the Prokofiev and Suk pieces. Hope to hear more from these two mature musicians!"
