"It's funny how some of the other reviews on here say things like "3-Chord punk that smells up the radio", and "simply dreadful". Apparently these people didn't own the album when it came out because it was excellent for when it was released. In June of 1996, the Christian rock music scene needed this release from this band. Many people still think that all Christian rock is dcTalk, Newsboys, Audio A, or worse Third Day. Plankeye put out an honest, raw sounding CD that completely revealed their punk-rock beginnings. So, if you think that 3-chords aren't enough, and if you think punk isn't creative or fun, then this CD is not for you. But if you'd like to hear how Plankeye sounded before they got all high-pitched and cheesy, and if you think that the band's last 3 or 4 albums were complete fluff, then check out Spill. Scott Siletta brings a classic gruff voice to the sound, and that's what makes rock, rock."

"Plankeye is a band who has grown musically over the years. Spill offers a foundation of the sound Plankeye fans love today. There are elements of bands such as Infectious Grooves and early Chili Peppers, while still holding to their punk roots. "Revolution" and "Scared" highlight this album, and true Plankeye fans will not be disappointed."
Tooth & Nail needs to re-release this gem of an album!

"Here it is, The debut from the band known as Plankeye. This album was released in 1994, Which was one of punk rock's most historical years [Green Day first achieved fame with their breakthrough album Dookie, The Offspring first achieved fame with their breakthrough album Smash, Rancid also finally achieved fame that year with their album Let's Go]. Like a lot of punk rock from this time period, Plankeye used fast drums, Guitar solos, and 3-chord instruments to make up the sound of their music. This album is a good trip down memory lane for those who like 90's punk rock. The songs are mostly aggresive and fast and even though the vocals and lyrics can become a bit cheesy from time to time, This is mostly a satisfying album. The highlights of the album include ''Good News'' [A good, energetic opener], ''Power'', ''Revolution'', ''Scared'', and ''Step Away'' [The best song on the album]. This is a great example of how good punk rock was before that stupid emo mess began to infiltrate the genre. If you're a christian and you love punk rock music, I definitely reccomend this album. However, I do not reccomend this album if you're only into newer punk rock [2000-present] as most of today's punk rock fans will probably find this album's sound outdated."
Not the band you know and love

"This is terrible, probably the worst album I own. Some of these tracks are okay, but the lyrics are so cheesy, and there are some horrid guitar solos. You can see some songwriting foundations here that the band developed into excellence on later realeases, but this is too raw and awkward sounding for me."
