Search - Plane :: Hello More

The plan behind Plane's latest album, Hello More, was to connect the old dots with some decidedly new ones. (Think Modest Mouse meets Postal Service and Depeche Mode). The result is a complicatedly simple rock album that's both fun and interesting to listen to. Subtle experimental sounds coexist dynamically with up-tempo beats, interweaving guitars, driving bass lines, clever vocal harmonies and infectious melodies. At various points you'll hear manipulated analog tape collages, looped digital effects and layers of white noise rocking pop songs in a out of place. All together, the song arrangements, instrumentation, and effects on this album are a tight nest for the record's restless quality of lyrical content. Co-produced by Anderson and Legzdins at Blue Room Studio--formerly the underground hangout in the 70's called "The Dungeon," and before that used by Hugh Hefner for his early photo shoots. Hello More is as creative sonically as it is conceptually. Each song tells an individual story, yet each individual story is a bit part of the whole.
