CD Reviews

Bossa Nova...amazing.

"I received this gem for chrsitmas last year from my boyfriend, and never heard a track off of it. I am a huge fan of Pizzicato Five, and truly think this is the best album, from the catchy "Rock and Roll" (track one) to Cleopatra 2001(last track) every song sets you on a ride of happiness, and thought. It is a masterpiece of music, and definately sets the tone for all that they accomplished as a group.I would just like to say, this is one of their best albums, and no collection is complete with out it. I think its worth the improt price, cause I received this cd last year, and havent gotten sick of it yet. It is amazing."

"This CD mainly consists of tracks that are on "Made In USA" and "Fifth Release". There are about five tracks that are exclusive to this release. If you have Made In USA and Fifth Release, this is probably not worth the $40 price tag. However, as an album, this is good Pizzicato Five. I personally don't care too much for their Made In Usa "Polished Pop" attempts, where they sacrifice kitsch in favor of some 90's pop cliches, but a lot of fans seem to really like that album. If you're just dying to blow $40 on a Pizzicato Five CD, you definitely need to get "Sa Ra Japon" (or whatever that title is), their last release before breaking up. It comes in deluxe packaging and has great tracks. I can't help but feel a tad dissapointed with "Bossa Nova 2001" since I already own most of these tracks anyway. Of course the Pizzicato Five completist should own this (and if you're reading this, then you probably are one)."
