CD ReviewsMy favorite anglophiles! kitty pryde | nyc | 11/28/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "Music is definitely fun again because of bands like The Strokes, The Killers, and Moving Units. Even some kid from middle america has a chance to get turned on to some Jesus and Mary Chain or Television or early U2 record (before they were just silhouettes in an ipod commercial) and learn to fall in love with music. Pitty Sing are one of my favorite of the ilk for quite some time seeing as they're from my backyard. I've seen these guys gig around NYC and most recently with another new fave, Dogs Die in Hot Cars. Anyways, this band really bring the romantic anglophile rock like no other. I know this EP is just a taste of honey, but it got me really, really excited for a full-length. I can tell it's going to be amazing. "We're on Drugs" and "Radio" are just so epic and grand, they just wrap you up like a blanket or an ocean and never let go. This is my favorite band in NYC right now and this EP is a good jumping on point but if you must, I'm sure they'll put out a magnificent album pretty soon." It's about time Zuckus2361 | York, Pennsylvania | 10/10/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "Welcome to the future of music. With the amazing vocals of Paul coupled with the amazing musical talents of Dave, JJ and Andrew, Pitty Sing delivers what other bands have been lacking for some time. I've been following the band since their Boston days, and have anxiously awaited the arrival of their first album. This EP certainly does not disappoint. The powerful music will take you away and then deposit you back on this planet with catchy rhythms running through your head for days to come. Do yourself a favor guys, and pick up Pitty Sing, you will not regret it." So catchy... samantha | harrisburg, pa | 10/20/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "i first heard this band about 8 months ago. live. in new york city. and i thought they were great. the rocked out hardcore. its very rare (or maybe its just me) to see a band live and then have their cd convey the same amount of emotion. they sounded a bit like U2, a bit like morrisey. but thats just the vocals. the MUSIC is so different. i have sat here for probably 20 mins trying to fit it into a neat and tidy little genre only to realize that they may very well have invented their own genre. the drums are the first thing that caught my attention. they are so tight and fit so perfectly, you may think they are synthesized. believe me, they aren't. people who like the vocals of Brand New...you will LOVE this cd. jesse lacey has nothing on Paul. look for the full length in late january."
