"This is a greatest hits album, released by Warner containing new versions of olders songs, and some of his later works that they left untouched. The older songs are the ones he recorded for EMI earlier in his career. The newer stuff that he recorded for Warner hasn't been re-recorded as it was already released through Warner. This might sound interesting, but isn't when you listen to this album. Some of his classic songs (Napule e' or Je So' Pazzo) should never have been re-recorded. The origionals are magic, the new recordings are to clean, static, and the sound of Pino's guitar is too futuristic for the style he is playing (a sound that makes most of his later recordings less interesting). The newer tracks that haven't been re-recorded and that do stand out ('Amore Senza Fine' and 'Che Soddisfazione' for instance) can be found on other albums. The origional albums are the one's you should check out. Two tracks benefit from the re-recording: 'Senza Peccato' has been turned into an upbeat throw away summertune, and 'A Testa in Giu' has become a very funky, breezy, late night tune. Two good tracks out off 16 is somewhat poor though. For those who want to buy only one Pino Daniele greatest hits: check out 'Passo o Tiempo' (some untouched earlier works) or 'Sona Mo' (unplugged overview of his whole career).Myself, I still believe that any lover of music should own at least 5 or 6 Pino Daniele albums ;)"
