"a friend turned me onto these guys. they were playing on the same date in boston and i was a bit sick, a bit tired, and about to lose my job. my friends band played first (they rocked) and i was pondering splitting.a bit later pilot to gunner took the stage at this small bar, packed to stretch the seams of the place, and just all out exploded. particularly with the demise of at the drive-in, i think PTG is the best live band in america right now. stuffed up on a tiny stage, they oozed brooklyn cruel and were tight, tight, tight and intense. their record does not quite deliver the energy of the live spectacle, but will whet a listeners appetite while they are waiting for the real thing to trot through their town."
