I got really lucky with this one

"When I was new to classical music, this was one of the first CDs I bought, and boy was that a good choice. Combine Ravel's epic scoring of Mussorgsky's amazing piano work, Pictures at an Exhibition, with The London Symphony Orchestra and Claudio Abbado and what do you get? SHEER BRILLIANCE! The sound quality of this recording blew me away. This is THE recording of Pictures at an Exhibition and I STRONGLY recommend that you purchase it. Forget reviews of other CDs. You will not regret buying this one. It actually is the best. I'm sure of it.
Also included on this CD are Ravel's poetic Rhapsodie Espagnole (the virtuosity is especially apparent in the Feria), the beautifully morbid dance he wrote just after his mother's death, La Valse, and the piece that Dudley Moore made famous: the entrancing and stately Bolero."
