"I've had this CD in my collection for years and it is one of my favorites. I have never heard a better Scriabin. Steuerman's tonality is one of the most impressive I've ever heard, notes and chords are some of the richest and clearest imaginable, all the while seeming effortlessly performed. He also manages to create a great deal of emotion with his playing. I don't hear much about this pianist, although often when he is mentioned, it is very favourably. If you find this CD used buy it, if for Sonata number 3 alone (the adagio section is astonishing).A remarkable recording."
