"I believe I have listened to over 12,000 hours of Mozart's music, but never have I found performances so compelling as Lubimov's readings of the piano sonatas. The timing, the phrasing, the rubato...one cannot escape the sensation that this is what Mozart sounded like when he sat at the keyboard. And each hearing returns some of the sensations every music lover knew when he heard a great work for the very first time. These are priceless performances. If you revere Mozart, hear these works and then tell me I am wrong.
