"So often we are told that a CD contains "Romantic Melodies" and then we go out and purchase it and find that it's a little eclectic and not quite as Romantic as we thought. Well, that's not the case here. This 2007 release from Deutsche Grammohpon is the near ideal CD to own for those special moments when you want to sit back and relax and be carried away by the familiar melodies of the greats: Mozart, Chopin, Schubert, Liszt, Debussy, Bach, and Mendelssohn, to be specific, piano only. If you have a fairly decent audio system, it can sound like you're actually listening to a recital in your living room. Near perfect, we note, however, because there is one cut, the very last from Chopin, "Opp 66: Fantasie impromptu" that is a little jarring. Of the 17 cuts on this wonderful CD, only that one, the very last, is a little out of place - but just a little. Still, this is the piano CD to own for those special moments. You won't be disappointed. This review appeared at OperaOnline.us."
