Album Description"Pounding, fuzzy, unpredictable noise rock." -- Copper Press Detroit's freak-wave outfit Child Bite meets up with our favorite easy listening noise-rockers Stationary Odyssey for a lesson in Phys Ed. The split EP, aptly titled Physical Education, contains two songs from each of the aforementioned bands, with music ranging from post-rocky Slint-ish ballads to horn section no-wave freak outs. Child Bite's music combines punk vigor with avant-garde ideals, infusing unconventional sounds with palatable arrangements for an end product that Paper Thin Walls describes as "Devo or Talking Heads going no-wave." Stationary Odyssey has achieved critical acclaim for its unique, unpredictable blend of noise-rock. However, unlike the band's previous efforts, this EP contains vocals and lyrics, channeling a Faith No More/Ween component. The revolving lineup now includes vocalist Mike Farmer, a.k.a. Kentucky Prophet, a.k.a. the "Music Geek" from Comedy Central's Beat the Geeks.
