"I considered myself an avid PCD fan. First heard about them from my college roomate who had 'Turn up the Radio' and thought they sounded cool and their tunes catchy. I then picked up 'Let my words be few,' 'let your glory fall', 'let the worshippers arise', and some of their older stuff.
These guys have always strike me as just 'down-to-earth' folks who are having so much fun worshipping the Lord. Combine powerful lyrics with their excellent vocals, and you have a group who consistently produces great recordings.
Top of My Lungs is no exception. Having moved to the 'worship album'-type since Let My Words be Few, Top of My Lungs continues the trend of PCD reinterpreting today's worship songs, as well as throwing their own new songs into the mix. Their voices are top-notch as usual, and I must tip my hat to Nathan Nockels the producer who once again delivers with great arrangements. If you love PCD's past 3 albums, you will undoubtedly enjoy this album as well.
The album starts with an *old* Hillsong song, 'One Way.' Fun song with some nice touch by Nathan. I was pleasantly surprised to see this song in the album.
'Your Name' is a Paul Baloche song, and having both albums I think I like PCD's version better. Their version is also a little bit 'busier.' with a more emphatic beat throughout the song.
'Saved the Day' is probably my favorite song in the CD - especially the choir part at the end. Wonderful, majestic song that speaks about how the Lord saved the day with his sacrifice on the Cross.
Other notables include the worshipful 'Amazed', PCD's rendition of Baloche's 'I will Boast', Shawn Craig's 'Let the Redeemed' (which has a similar tone and message of Because We're Forgiven).
Last but not least is the last song - old hymn 'Tis So Sweet' which features Davin and Dani Dean (Dan Dean's children) and Garland Phillips (Randy's). They sound great and I thought they are record-ready! (Phillips and the Deans, anyone? :p)
All in all, great album. If you're a PCD fan, you will not be dissapointed."

"Phillips, Craig, and Dean are an excellent group.
I wasn't paying attention, however, and didn't notice that this
CD was a live performance. I'm not as fond of those as the
straight recorded music."
