"How come that every Philip Catherine's album is so damn good? Is it virtuosity, beautiful 'singing' guitar melodies, or composers talent? It's the combination of all above and his latest album reinforces everything already said. Expect no groovy tunes or screaming guitars, this is music you listen to when laying at your back...My favorites are the singing tune from "Bois le baron"(it makes me happy everytime I listen to it), "Pendulum"(the tune keeps turning round and round in your head),"Merci Philip"(composed by Nicolas Fiszman), "Souvenirs de Villingen"(composed by Stéphane Grappeli,"Jacobien"(light s(w)inging guitar tune(composed by John Lewis), "Skating in Central Park"(been there once and the guitar playing brings the memory back alive!, great!)Thanks Philip for another memorable piece of art!!!"
