LIGHT JAZZ AT ITS BEST !!!

"Guitarist and producer Phil Sheeran has put together an incredibly actively listenable album (and modestly called it a good thing). No easy feat considering how overcrowded this genre can be with sound-alike tracks. Excellent rythym section, great flute and sax work, (guiterwork as well, needless to say), carry through a rapidly changing mosaic of melodic streams. Sheeran's love of Brazilian melodies is apparent (check out breaking through) and the production as a whole is thoroughly enjoyable. If you like Syra Gyra, Jeff Lorber and will go for a little more contemporary straight-ahead, check this out. I'd even go so far as to rank it one of the better albums of its type around.
