A trip through the cosmos powered by big band oddness.

"Upon a recommendation I bought this little gem. I had no idea what to expect, but what I got was a hauntingly complex romp aboard a 1960's big band spaceship. True, it's a little cheesy, but don't let that fool you. From 'Song and Sounds the Stars Around' to 'Mars Close Up' and 'Moontown', there is something creepy about how this collection comes together. At times it makes you want to dance or sing along (if there were vocals). All this time the strings and horns weave together a unique atmosphere. Listen to it loud. Raumpatrouille is a relic from a past era, but in all it's beauty it's as effective as anything else you've ever heard."
