"I may be alone but I welcome this remastered release of Peter Shelley's collection from 2 LPs released in 1974/75.

Peter Shelley was the writer/producer of many of UK "glam rock" star Alvin Stardust's hits in the mid 1970's.In 1974 Shelley released the self penned song "Gee Baby" which not only hit no 4 in the UK charts but proved to be as catchy a piece of pop music as has ever been produced. The same titled LP followed and another track "Love Me Love My Dog" went one place higher in the UK chart.

Peter Shelley had no more chart success but this collection is nonetheless worth a listen.Yes there are cheesy songs but it was intended as MOR music.

5 stars for Gee Baby, the rest 3 stars this CD will nonetheless becone a collector's item in years to come, original vinyl copies of Shelley's releases are sought after.

And finally - no,Peter Shelley is/was not Pete Shelley (Buzzcocks)as the previous reviewer subtly points out!"
