"Devastating record from this second generation kraut-rocker, Nekropolis 2 is an angry sea of pounding bass, swarming and stinging guitars, and peculiarly hypnotic percussive and electronic effects. Virtually indescribable, Nekropolis 2 certainly has its antecedents (Magma, Can, and Heldon come to mind immediately), but Frohmader is a true original. If you have any doubt about this, check out his awesome mid-eighties record Cultes des Ghoules (if you can find it). Nekropolis 2 is definitely a warm-up for Cultes. Warning: Nekropolis music can alter your central nervous system."
