"i was hooked on this album in the first 7 seconds of listening to it. pete krebs, who has put out a split 7" with elliot smith and is the former frontman of Hazel, uses his somewhat raspy voice and acoustic guitar stylings to lure you in. sometimes cheesy, but always honest, this album will be liked by all who appreciate elliot smith and other such artists whose voices are as powerful as their instruments."

"This cd is "extremely" underated. I cannot emphasize that enough. I'm suprised that this only got a "4" for average review, i'm guessing this is because not many people have reviewed this cd. Fans of Krebs newer (more recent) material, should most certainly check this out. But i should warn you that Pete doesnt rock out on this cd like he does on "Sweet Ona Rose" One of the other reviewers said that this cd is very honest, but tends to be very cheesy @ times... I thoroughly agree w/ the "honesty" part which is just a comomon trait in Krebs' songs. However i have no idea why one would think that this cd is "cheesy". I think the songs eminate w/ so much heart & soul. Although i am a fan of all of Krebs' material, i tend to like this cd better than his more recent stuff. I mean sure it is "sparse", but thats what makes the songs on here so wonderful. And as far as "lyrics" go, Krebs truely shines on this cd. The lyrical & soft acoustic arrangements are blended together beautifully. As far as "fave" songs on here, gosh... All the songs are so amazing, but some definite standouts are "Suction Cup Hearts", "Firepower", "Truman", "Abide With Me" "Do Your Father Proud". And i think "Truman" may just be 1 of the sadest & most beautiful acoustic songs ever written. The song may not hold much relevance for people who havent done any traveling, but the song just brings tears to my eyes. I would highly suggest that you do not just listen to the songs that i've listed. PLEASE buy & listen to this to this cd from beginning to end, you will not regret it."
