"Pete Fountain never ceases to amaze me! He still plays as well as he did 40 years ago. And without a doubt, he is the reigning king of the clarinet. Nobody can play like him, and he demonstrates his amazing talent on this new cd. Just listen to classics like "Georgia on My Mind", or his old standby, "Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans" with the nice big band treatment. The playing is superb, and the arrangemnets are terrific! Pete can still swing, and he's also got the smoothest sounding clarinet I've ever heard. This cd is definite must have for any Pete Fountain fan, or jazz fan for that matter."

"Hey, Pete ain't gettin' any younger -- but he hasn't lost much of his touch -- maybe, like Jerry Rice, a half a step or maybe he just didn't want to be bothered re-doing any of the tracks -- a spot here and there and probably no one but another clarinetist would notice anyway.Don't let this stop you from getting this CD. Maybe he can't run the patterns quite as sharp down the middle of the field like he used to, but Pete's STILL worth listening to. Happy music is his thing and this CD is just that. Great arrangements, great back-up band -- a perfect setting for Pete and a nice showcase. If you've followed his career at all you'll want this CD."

"I have 7-8 Pete Fountain CDs. Every one of them is a treat. I love Dixieland music and no one does it better. Each CD has some standards, one or two funky originals, and some fun pieces. The arrangements are delightful and true to the genre. If you like Dixieland, you'll love Pete."
