Disappointing PSB single

"The second CD of the "I Get Along" single is a rare disappointment from the Pet Shop Boys. The 3 songs were recorded live for the BBC Radio 2 Theatre Show. "I Get Along" is a very good single, but the live version sounds almost exactly like the album version. I would have preferred a remix of the song, but neither of the two "I Get Along" singles includes a remix. "A Red Letter Day," from their mid-90's CD "Bilingual," is one of my least favorite PSB songs, and again it sounds almost exactly like the album version. Fans of "A Red Letter Day," however, may want to upgrade this CD one or two stars. The live version of "Love Comes Quickly" is drastically different than the original from their debut album, "Please." It's an uptempo version that they apparently frequently play in concert. All in all, though, I think that I prefer the original meloncholy ballad version. I purchase every single released from the PSB, and usually I am very pleased. Unfortunately, this single is one of their worst. If you like "I Get Along," I suggest purchasing the first CD single, which also includes 2 previously unreleased songs."
