There are a handful of stellar songs on this album. Portmanteau, All This & Alistair Cooke, Something On Me, Marianne Gave Up Her Hand, Fireman, Sleepyhead.



A couple of annoying songs keep this album from being 5 star material: (You & I are the) Summertime, All For You.



Matt Devine is a very talented guy, and he shines here. I don't know much about Michael Quercio, but enjoy a lot of what he does here.



This is an excellent portrait of independent early '90s power-pop. Recommended for those who like the Posies, Jellyfish, Big Star, etc."
