"With all due respect, country of mine, there's something really wrong with you in that you've never gone gaga over Per Gessle/Roxette the way a good percentage of the rest of the world has. Guilty pleasure? Perhaps, but who cares. The fact remains that Gessle is our greatest pop songwriter since Lennon, and this album proves it all over again. It took Sweden by storm, setting all kinds of sales records, and the fact that I don't understand a word of it diminishes it not at all in my eyes or ears. The man simply has a preternatural ability to create music that WILL make you cast off whatever cynicism remains in your heart for a full 48 minutes. (And, given that I possess a fair amount of said cynicism, I've seriously got to thank him for that.)"

"True, I cannot understand a word on this album, but it's got to be one of the best albums I've heard in a while. It tends to be mid-tempo, average instruments and normal pop rhythms, but somehow, it all comes together in an outstanding CD. More acoustic-y sounding than Roxette, but a must-have for Per and Roxette fans alike. Hugely popular (I've heard) Har Kommer Alla Kanslorna is the gem of the album, but Om Du Bara Vill is also excellent."
Per Gessle at his best!

"I think that this is one of the best records I have in my collection. First of all, it is in Swedish (why would all bands have to sing in English?) which gives it the Swedish touch and it sounds even better than Roxette. Every song is excellent and the music is pleasing. Trust me, even if you do not understand a word of the lyrics, you will be uplifted by this album, it is so good!"
Sheer brilliance!

"Beautiful songwriting, true craftmanship and a Gessle so much better than anyone would hope for. This record ruled the Swedish recordbuyers for more than a year, ruled the audience with a great summertour and kept Gessle on the Swedish top 10 for what seemed like an eternity. This album is flawless and I wish I could give it 4,5 stars. It is, of course, Gessle's best work so far. Clever clever production, brilliant arrangements and a mature statement from a man about life, love and smalltownfeelings. Impressive production, but don't be fooled by it's lo-fi-feeling - it's not as simple as it sounds: this is a record to discover and discover again: songwise, productionwise and you'll-get-more-and-more-wise each time you hear it. Love it!"

"The King of catchy song-writing is back, with his first swedish solo album for couple of decades; and while it's not quite as good as his English solo effort, it's still brilliant.
Practically every track is a gem. 'Vilket Hall Du An Gar', 'Fodelsedag', 'Spegelboll' and 'For Bra For Att Vara Sant' the absolute cream of the crop. Marie Fredriksson (the female half of Roxette) makes a loy-key appearence in track 2, but the female vocals are done very well by Helena Josefsson. It's pretty expensive to get your hands on Mazarin here on Amazon, but it's worth every dime!"
