"I am a forty year old who loves Roy & Dales music. I was with a gospel group and we recorded for the same company as Dale. I was very fortunate to have spent some time with Dale courtesy of Roy Rogers. We talked about both our upcoming recordings. Back to the review. I think this was part of their first gospel album called "Sweet Hour Of Prayer" recorded in 1958. The album was fully orchestrated. Their singing was great;however on this new release all the orchestration was removed and only left an organ , bass, piano and some guitar. I don't know how they managed to pull off that because I believe the record was released in mono. Maybe someone else something I don't know. But I was very excited to see the recent interest in the re-releases of both Roy & Dale. Primo is Dale's previous record company with the aid of a friend of Dales; Kurt Kasier, went through all the masters of which he had produced and came up with a double CD of all gospel of Roy & Dale's best. It sounds awesome on a CD played on top line equipment. Just a note Dale is 86. She just recently recorded the song "In The Sweet Bye And Bye" with country-western group. I spoke with the manager of the group and he was expressing his excitement over the product; and also Roy gave his blessings on the product. It was said by the manager and myself Dale is "fisty". Maybe we need to stand back and see what's going on. I consider myself as a collector and I have all their books, all their albums, RCA 45's, and quite a few 78'rpm. My love started for them when I picked up one of Dale's new books in Rich's in Atlanta, Georgia. Dale was onhand signing books. "The Woman A The Well." I did not put it down until I had finished. "This is a nice gospel recording by Dale and Roy. I bought it a couple days after Roy's death. If you like gospel and western music, this is a nice CD."

"My grandmother had the tape and would play on repeat so that it would never end. She would sing every song. She wore the tape out."
