Jan's playing is technically brilliant and makes both adapted lute compositions and contemporary pieces sound very colorful and different. "This is (almost) the "studio" version of the now legendary limited edition "Akkernet" internet release "Live at the Priory". How can one man with a guitar keep the listener so involved and enthralled for over 70 minutes? The guitar playing is second to none and the atmosphere created by this master is spine tingling.
