Beautiful, meaningful music - you don't have to be LDS to love this piano music. It is very relaxing and comforting.

Paul's Music - A True "Sign of Affection"

"I first heard Paul's music when one of his CD's was being played in a book store and immediately fell in love with the magic of his music. "Sign of Affection" has become one of my favorite CD's. There is such a sweet peace transmitted through Paul's music, even though one feels a tinge of sadness when listening to "Dave's Farewell." But the music also implants a feeling of hope and deep joy that touches the heart, as obviously Paul plays from the heart. I highly recommend this CD - not only to those who have felt sadness or lost a loved one, but anyone who wants to feel that "quiet peace that stirs the soul.""

"Nice new sound, each song takes you to a new place. For those who love the clarity and beauty of solo piano. Paul does a great job at not sounding as if he has been listening too much to others music. His sound is his own. Its great!"
Pleasing To The Ear

"I've listened to this album so often in the last few months that I keep wondering if it is possible to wear out a CD. It's difficult to pinpoint exactly why Cardall has grabbed my attention. His skills as a player and composer are undeniable, but it isn't skill that makes what you hear so special. Perhaps it is spirit.
Start with the first two cuts. Both represent differences in style, but they are equally genuine emotionally. I don't mean that they are gushy, or saccharine, but that the reach out to something important in the listener. What is hard to define, but it's hard not to relax and be drawn out of the daily onslaught of conflict and worry. It's hard to believe that this is simply a matter of notes on paper, or the mechanics of key presses, but however it happens, it works.
This is a contemplatives album, no foot stomping, no hard edges, just a fortuitous combination of well constructed rhythm and melodic line. I've already pointed out elsewhere how fine an album 'Live' is. Several of the cuts appear here as well in studio versions. I'm quite happy to own both."
