Product DescriptionThis collection of piano works by Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) and Maria Hester Park (1760-1813), elegantly illustrating the diversity and refinement of Classical repertoire, marks keyboardist Patrick Hawkins Navona Records debut. The 1831 William Geib square piano (restored 2013) used for this recording (the first to so feature one) has six octaves and is built in the same manner as English double-action instruments of the Regency era. This album is one of the first to present Ms. Parks works on a period-appropriate instrument, and includes 2 world premiere Park recordings.
