Pat Benatar: PRECIOUS TIME (1981)

"In 1981, Pat Bentar had released her third album entitled, PRECIOUS TIME, which turned out to be another awesome album. The album definitely lives up to the reputations of Pat's first two albums, where the songs in this album sound even heavier in their Rock sound, than that of the first two albums released.

PROMISES IN THE DARK

First single from the album. Definitely one of my favorite songs from Pat.

FIRE AND ICE

Second single from the album. A great song in my opinion, but, honestly, it's not one of my all-time favorites.

JUST LIKE ME

Great song.

PRECIOUS TIME

The album's title-track. Great song.

IT'S A TUFF LIFE

Great song.

TAKE IT ANYWAY YOU WANT IT

Great song.

EVIL GENIUS

Another great one.

HARD TO BELIEVE

Great song.

HELTER SKELTER

This song was originally recorded by The Beatles in 1968, where the song was featured on their 1968 album entitled, THE BEATLES (also known as THE WHITE ALBUM, due to its all-white cover). The Beatles' original song was a heavy rocker that I could easily rock to. Pat Benatar's rendition definitely lives up to the reputation to that of The Beatles' original classic. What an awesome cover."

"I was helping my little 3 year old daughter build some legos the other afternoon, and out of the blue she started singing, 'heartbreaker, dream maker, love taker, don't ya messa around me', off key but I immediately recognized it. I sat her in front of youtube to watch a video of Pat and she was in awe. Very cute indeedy. But watchin those vids brought back some great memories and I had to get the album. I once had almost all of them on vinyl and wow, to rock to them again in 2009 . . . damn, Precious Time rocked! Prolly the best of all of them. There are 9 songs on this album and 9 songs on this album rock. Thanks Ms Benatar for this timeless creation."
