"The third album by Paralamas shows a little musical experimentation. Not as pop-oriented as the first two albums, Paralamas explores dub and some hard-edged guitar tunes. Very much worth having in your collection, but being a pop fan, I still like the first two records better. By the way, my copies are on vinyl, and I wish the first two records were available here...where are they?"

"I know several disks of paralamas and in my opinion this is one of their best. The songs are more reaggae style, which I prefer to their rock style."

"Third record released by Brazilian pop band Paralamas do Sucesso. Featuring hits like "Alagados", "A Novidade", and "Melo do Marinheiro", Selvagem exposed Paralamas to the pop world, mixing balads with funky songs loaded with percussion."
