"this band has no shame at all, what a great band to be put together after kid dynamite! each song is incredibly short, tracks on average run to about a minute long, the whole record is 18:39, but it's just a quarter hour explosion of hardcore insanity that will make you want more and more. It makes me happy to see artists out like this today, keeping the hardcore punk sound alive instead of all these other groups converting to screamo, not taht i do not enjoy screamo, it just becomes dull seeing everyone doing it. This is a fun filled piece of work that i have my fullest respect for, all the tracks are catchy and may give an individual an immortal feeling to go and have a great time!"

"CVA = cerebrovascular accidentAfter suffering a terrifying stroke several years back, PAINT IT BLACK's vocalist Dan Yemin started looking at life differently. As anticipated by the title, much of this album deals with recovery, rebuilding, and re-evaluation. Having this personal context in mind, these songs actually stand out from most of the abrupt, abbreviated hardcore which is in vogue right now. Starting triumphantly with a gruff scream, this is post-trauma stress whittled down to 17 songs in just under 19 minutes. Each song is played tightly and aggressively. The LP's song-to-song pacing is relentless, as it should be, barely allowing any breathing room between tracks. I can only imagine what the live show is like. [Includes new versions of all the demo tracks and the song from the Jade Tree compilation. Song notes are found on the band's website...."
