Peter Tägtgren is a musician, producer and the creative brain behind both Pain and Hypocrisy. His has been a life immersed in music, in pushing boundaries, and taking ideas to both their logical and illogical extremes. It's been a career that has involved fronting bands as well as shaping their sounds as a world renowned producer, most notably for Celtic Frost, Children Of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir and Immortal. Pain are essentially a one man band with an ever impressive roster of fellow Scandinavian metallers coming in to help in the studio and on tours. This year will mark the first time the band will reach American shores, following up a massive European tour with symphonic metal stalwarts Nightwish. Their past albums have hosted an array of famous musicians, though You Only Live Twice is a highly personal album, so they opted to focus their energies internally. Influenced by Fear Factory, Rammstein and Depeche Mode, Pain is a culmination these influences seen through the always inventive Tägtgren filter!
