"Pablo Milanés is an exceptional singer / songwriter and one of the fundamental exponents of the "Nueva Trova" or "New Song" movement in Latin America & the Caribbean. His musical arrangements of the selected verses of Nicolás Guillén is living proof of his genius and command of the elements of music and poetry. This work is a beautiful tribute to the late Nicolás Guillén. I highly recommend it. If you get the chance you should look for his work with Mario Benedetti, in particular "Hombre Preso Que Mira a su Hijo." This is yet another example of the beauty of true poetry put to music. Pablito's voice is also far beyond comparison.Jaime."
