"If you grew up in the 70's you know "Jackie Blue" as well as you know your own name. It's just one of those songs that everyone likes. But what about the rest of the CD, Does it sound like
"JB"? "You Know like I Know" and "Following the Way that I feel" follow in that same vein, but ultimately the answer is "no". OMD has a free spirited bluegrass sensibility with a touch of country twange. I hate country music so this would seem like a bad thing, but it works and it works well. The melodies are catchy, and there is also a depth to the bands playing that demands repeated listens. "If You want to get to Heaven (you got to raise a little Hell)" is a blast from the past that you're bound to remember once you hear it. "EE Lawson" is an amusing jem that will leave you smiling and reaching for the repeat button. The song that will capture your soul is the closng ballad "Road to glory" it has a beautiful piano, harmonica and mandolin arrangement that tops off the LP. If you want a taste of OMD at a budget price this is the place to start."
