"No Reviews on this Band prior to this one. I find that hard to believe. They were to good to not have a Review about them so here goes. This Disc definately has the Psychedelic 60s feel to it and there are also some charming songs here that are really good. My World, Lighter Than Air,and, Flying Up Through The Sky, to name just three and I'm about to tell you about a fourth.
I want to ask you a question...When you think of the tune, Always Something There To Remind Me, what Band do you think of?...Most of you probably would say, Naked Eyes, from the 80s. Not me! When I think of that song I think of, The Oxfords, from the 60s. They had a great version of that Hal David/Burt Bacharach classic and it is right here. I have always thought it was the best version and I still do. If the sound quality on this CD was up to par (even by 80s standards) that song would be stunning.
There is alot of info about this Band in the liner notes and also several Photos. Even a Photo of their Van is here ( It Was Called The Oxwagon). This is a great Timepiece from that era (1966-72) and I would definately recommend it to any music collecter. Purchase it and enjoy a good CD and a beautiful version of, Always something There To Remind Me."
