"i purchased this album having enjoyed mike kinsella's other musical project, american football. although american football is in itself a strong representation of kinsella's musical talent, clever lyrics and catchy singing style, owen is by far the better of his works. furtermore, the album is mike's personal creation from the writing to the producing to the recording. quite honestly, owen is perhaps the best album ive purchased in years. its so sincere, creative, inspiring and listenable. much of the album is centered around a few chord arrangements that appear, dissappear and reappear throughout the duration of the album. though much of the music is soft it is not sentimental and i assure any music lover or potential buyer a pleasureable experience in listening to this album. this album reminds me of a good novel in which after reading you are inclined reread and tell all your friends about. thus, youre being told."
Absolutely Addicting....

"WOW, this album is beautiful. The acoustic work, soft and gentle voice of Mike, clever and honest lyrics that actually mean something. My favorite song on this album if I had to pick one is "Dead Mean Don't lie" however I never listen to it without listening to the entire album. The album is simply addicting, everyone that I've introduced Owen to has thanked me, a gentle, mellow, soft, and beautiful album. This is a must have, at least for me it is"
