"If you have someone you need a gift for, someone whose taste in music you don't know very well, this wonderful stealth music CD might be a good idea. There are tunes so widely recognizable that anyone can appreciate them, but also, in this day and age the deeper listener will hear playing of a rare quality, that reminds us of what is essential in music. In fact, the players' unassuming excellence is illustrated in a way by the choice of tunes, several of which no egomaniac would go near. The players' ensemble also struck me, in that their playing together doesn't stand in the way of their individual expressions. Perhaps this was because they both seemed to like to play music, generally and each tune, for its own sake. This is music I am glad to live with. I had my own copy for a while, but then a friend "couldn't live without it," so now I have just bought my second copy."
